Constellations are constructs that depend on the position of the observer. Standing on the earth, we see is a "total and absolute universe" made for us, which measures our position in the cosmos. On the other hand, if we could observe these same stars from a different place, the distance between them could only be perceived in terms of immeasurable depth.
